New Mexico
Recently home from two years in Australia - easily the most vivid chapter of our adult lives. Living in Oz was beyond our wildest hopes - and the new friends we made will be with us for a long time. Yet with the pandemic, Adisa and I chose to return and shelter-in-place in SF -> not in the 510 but instead 505 -> Santa Fe!
We now live in the prickly high-desert amongst the packs of pre-dawn coyote. At 7k elevation, we are squarely stepping into our Covid gap year on Adisa's home turf - New Mexico. It is a place she has loved since she was 19 as a volunteer EMT nee' archeologist.
Here the landscape reveals itself a little bit differently with each passing day - with its quiet, unpaved and sweeping views. New Mexico is our safe perch in this flummoxing and fakakta time.
Evening meal is ready. Winter is here.
More to come...
